I LOVE MY VERY OWN VETERAN

I wanted to dedicate a post to my dad on Monday in honor of Veteran’s Day, but it took my mom a little longer then I had expected to find a picture of him in his military uniform. This picture was taken of my dad in 1985. (I was only 2 years old at the time.) My father is a veteran, and I am more then proud of him. He was in the military for 20+ years and served in both the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. I wasn’t born when he was in the Vietnam War, obviously, but I was in the first and second grade when he went to Operation Desert Storm and to say that I missed him doesn’t do it justice. It wasn’t until I got older that I developed an appreciation for what he did for our country. To not only serve his country, but be away from his family for months at a time, is pure dedication. So I would like to send out a big thank you, I love you and a Happy Belated Veterans Day to my dad.

  1. Can’t think of a better TILT this week. How cool to post this picture of him. My grandpa was a POW in WW2 and I am always in awe of what he did.

  2. Happy Belated Veteran’s Day to your dad!
