FREE ANTIBIOTICS AT PUBLIX

PublixFreeMedicine

I just moved to Florida, so Publix is a new grocery store to me. I’m not really familiar with all of their coupon policies or their sales ad yet, but from what I have been hearing on the internet they are a good place to shop at if you like bargains. Well imagine my surprise when I discovered that they offer free prescriptions for oral antibiotics. Of course not all of the antibiotics will be covered, but they do cover these:

  • Amoxicillin
  • Cephalexin
  • Sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim (SMZ-TMP
  • Ciprofloxacin (excluding Ciprofloxacin XR
  • Penicillin VK
  • Ampicillin
  • Erythromycin Stearate and Ethylsuccinate
  • Doxycycline Hyclate (capsules)

New or current customers can bring in their prescription for one of the generic oral antibiotics listed above and receive it FREE for up to a 14-day supply.

  • There are no limits on the number of prescriptions you can have filled.
  • And they’re FREE to you regardless of your prescription insurance provider.

Not bad at all. Go to the Publix website to see it for yourself.

Thank you to Faithful Provisions for this tip!

  3. Dear Leslie,

Thank you so much for your comment. When I first found out about this, I was so excited. I don’t have insurance right now, so every prescription and every doctor’s visit has to be paid out of pocket for me. Even though it doesn’t cover all prescriptions, it covers Amoxicillin and that is what doctors usually prescribe if you have an infection. I am VERY grateful for Publix.

    Take care,
    Shynea

  5. Dear Shynea, I’m a nurse. Tell your Doc you go to Publix to get your scripts filled and he can usually give you one that can be filled free of charge. Ask him for samples. Let him KNOW you have no drug coverage!!!!
