BAKE ME A WISH REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

I love planning parties. Whether it’s a birthday party for my children, or a get together for my friends, I like entertaining people. It’s fun for me, and it allows me to cook for the people that I care about.

The best part about throwing a party is the dessert table. Cakes, cookies, brownies and pies, if  you can name it I can make it, and then some. I have a slight sweet tooth.

Bake Me A Wish - 01My mother-in-law celebrated her birthday on the 6th. (I can’t share her age, because a woman never tells and I have been sworn to secrecy.) I know for a fact that she loves chocolate. Even though she is on a diet, which doesn’t allow anyone to enjoy their comfort foods too freely, I wanted to get her a cake.

I had the opportunity to review a company called Bake Me A Wish who bakes, sells and then overnights, beautiful cakes to customers all over the US. The cake that I received was the Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie Cake.

Bake Me A Wish - 02The richness of the cake cannot even be described in words. I sliced a good helping of it for myself and Iwasn’t able to finish it in one sitting. (Even with my 23 month old helping me to eat it.)

I have to say that I was honestly surprised at how good this cake tasted. I am not a chocolate fan at all, so I was really hesitant to try this. Really hesitant. Even though it looked good on the outside, me and chocolate have a love-hate relationship. Resistance was met with deliciousness as this cake was literally love at first taste.

Bake Me A Wish was gracious enough to offer the same exact Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie Cake to one of my visitors. Too exciting. I know.

    Two chocolate layers filled with luscious chocolate whipped cream mousse, then covered with milk chocolate frosting and a dark chocolate glaze. Garnished with fudge rosettes and dark chocolate shaves. So Delish!!!!

    Wow! They all look fantastic! I am not looking forward to turning 39 on my birthday on July 28th-it’s the last birthday before I make the jump to a new survey classification of “40 or over”. lol. But being surrounded by chocolate bliss and being in a chocolate coma on the big day would make the day more bearable with the Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie cake. My three year old said he’d help eat it too! I also like that the US soldiers are being recognized-something that is also dear to our family- having friends proudly serving.

    After looking at the different cakes, it was a toss up between the Red Velvet Chocolate Cake and the Carrot cake. The winner is………. Red Velvet Chocolate cake! mainly because of the raisins in the carrot cake.
