CVS Handout CoverI love shopping at CVS. Although I have had a love hat relationship with it this year, this is still one of the best drug stores to shop at for good savings.

When I first became frugal and started using coupons, CVS was the store that I practiced in. I learned how to combine sales with coupons and how to use manufacturer coupons alongside store coupons.

CVS was also the store that allowed me to build up my stockpile. I don’t have to buy soap, toothpaste, razors, and shampoo for almost a year. Those items alone can be a big chunk of any family’s budget. (Especially a family of 6.)

I have gotten so many emails from people asking me how to shop at CVS. When I moved PennyPinchingDiva.com to it’s own server about a month ago, I didn’t get the chance to format all of my posts. So I just now realized that all of my CVS 101 posts are just floating around.

    Thanks for doing this. Now I’ll actually sign up for the card instead of pretending I lost it every time I go there so the cashier can scan theirs and give me the discount :)

    Thanks so much for all the information you provide to us on saving money. I have viewed other sites regarding “saving with coupons” but I believe that yours is by far one of the best. You explain things which helps a new person like me understand the process.

    I am so glad that this guide is of use to someone. I wrote it because all of the CVS tutorials I read when I began were so vague and confusing. I broke it down into sections so others could understand what I was missing at first.

    One thing I do at CVS is plan ahead for the ECBs so I can spend it all in one trip. If I know I am going to get an ECB, I split my order. I will purchase those ECB items first then use the ECB on the second order right away. That way I have less chance of losing or forgetting about them on my next trip.
