JOIN ME THIS WEEK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
This week, please join me as I hold a Breast Cancer Awareness week.
Breast cancer is something that has personally affected my family. My dad’s sister died of breast cancer last year.
I BELIEVE that all women should be aware of how to complete a home self check. I BELIEVE that all women should get a a professional exam done at least once a year. I BELIEVE that women should take care of themselves.
I know that being a mother to four, I am ALWAYS putting myself last. Someone, or something, is always more important then myself. The only aspect of my life that I don’t skimp on is making sure that I am “aware” of my body.
So this week, I am highlighting how to do your own home exam correctly. I will also share the store of one beautiful, and inspirational, woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer, fought it and survived. I will also highlight companies that donate a portion of their revenue to breast cancer charities.
Remember ladies, we have to take care of ourselves.
Take care and much love,
Shynea

I’m an african american woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the at of 36. I have two children and I am also a survivor. I agree women should be aware of changes in their bodies and do not ignore their health.
You are so right about women putting themselves as last priority. It is a wonderful idea to highlight this!
Dear Donna,
If you ever want to share your story, please contact me. I would love to highlight you as one of the strong women who have survived this disease.
Take care,
Shynea
I just had my yearly mammogram this morning. They are now utilizing digital technology which gives a much clearer image and wider area of the breast is screened. Ladies, there is no excuse to not have your yearly screenings. If you are without insurance, there are programs and services in place which offer free screenings. We are our own best advocate!
“Don’t just be blessed, be a blessing.”

with her illness, she always told me to make sure you take care of yourself, and always get your checkup’s. She was a blessing to care and leave that with me, and now with my experiencing this too, I try to be a blessing to someone eals. Please get regular exams, and keep a check on yourself, and keep God in the mist of it all.
