QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION NUMBER ONE

Wow! I have received a lot of really great questions from my readers. To tell you the truth, I don’t even know where to begin. So I am going to pick five questions to answer today and then answer some more tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who took the time out of your day to try and get to know me a little bit better.
01. Question one comes from Mommy Saves A Lot. She asked:
With all of your boys, have you ever wanted a girl?
Of course. Most definitely. I have always wanted to have only girls. I am the oldest of four girls, so growing up I was only ever surrounded by a house full of pink. I had no idea how to raise a little boy, or where to even start. Fast forward, and now I have four boys of my own and I don’t think I would have it any other way. Of course I want to have a little girl. I want to do all of the girly things like dress her up and style her hair. But knowing my luck if I had a little girl right now, after four boys, she would probably end up being a tomboy and want nothing more then to play in the dirt in her pretty little dress.
02. Question number two comes from Pris. They asked:
In what part of the country do you live?
I currently reside in the state of Florida. I moved here at the end of February of this year and it has been a BIG adjustment to me. I moved here from Alabama, a really small town compared to the city that I live in now. Would I move back to Alabama? Absolutely not. I love the country, it is my dream to live on a farm one day, but right now the city life has captured my heart.
03. Question three comes from Trisha. She wanted to know:
What is your goals for your blog?
I love this question because it made me site down and think about where I really see my blog progressing this year, and I have SO many ideas for it. When creating PennyPinchingDiva.com I ALWAYS wanted it to be a community site. I have ALWAYS wanted to interact with my readers and form a community around my site. That is what I am moving forward with this year. My number one goal is to turn my website into not JUST a website but into a COMMUNITY as well.
I also want to start incorporating more articles, how-to’s and tutorials into my website. I want it to be a “one stop shop” on the internet. A place where you can come to find and print coupons, interact with other people who have the same goals in mind, read a helpful article, find a new recipe, learn how to do a new craft, etc… I want it to be an online frugal magazine for all of my other frugalistas.
04. Kitamay asked me question number four. They asked:
How do you plan your grocery list every week? Do you make your menu based on what is on sale or do you just plan what you want to eat?
I do a combination of both. Every week I sit down with my grocery stores sales ads and mark the items that they have on sale that week. I also look through my coupons and see what I can match my coupons to as well. After I look through my sales ads, I go through my cabinets to see what I already have stockpiled. Once I have a list of what is on sale and what I have in stock, I start putting together my meals. I get a little more in depth in an article on How I Menu Plan.
05. This one comes from Mommy Saves A Lot as well. She wanted to know:
How much do you budget a month for food for your family?
I am currently budgeting about $450 a month for food now. Lately, with all of the good sales, I have been under budget. But I make sure that I don’t go over that amount. My budget use to be $350, but with winter coming up I have been stocking up on canned foods and meat while they are on sale.
Thank you so much for asking questions. If you didn’t yet, you still have the opportunity. Just head over here and ask away. More answers coming tomorrow…
