SPEND THE WEEK GETTING TO KNOW “THE DIVA” BEHIND THE WEBSITE

This week I decided to participate in a PR Blackout. What does that mean? That I will be getting back to my blogging roots and focusing on why I actually started Penny Pinching Diva. So, that means nothing but deal posts and personal articles this week. The giveaways and reviews are on hold.
August 11th celebrates my one year anniversary of Penny Pinching Diva. My website has come such a long way since then. I still remember the very first post that I wrote. I was so excited, and nervous, when I hit publish. The excitement over ran the nervousness and ever since then there has been no turning back.
This week I want my readers to get the chance to get to know me a little bit better. How? By asking me questions. It can be something as simple as my favorite food to anything as complex as questions about my family, my past or what has made me who I am today. You can ask me questions about couponing, saving money, cooking, activities, etc… Anything that comes to your mind that made you say “Hey, I wonder what the diva would say about this.”
This week it is all about me, frugalness and getting back to the root of Penny Pinching Diva.
I will also go back to posting videos and pictures this week. I use to be a vlogging and picture taking fool. Whether it was a picture of my Christmas tree to a video of my first diaper cake (and then my diaper cake pictures), I want to add a personal touch of me to my website this week.
So, if you still want to “pinch a penny” this week as well as get to know me a little bit better, hang in. I will try not to disappoint.
I love you all and I can guarantee that this site wouldn’t be what it is today without my readers. Y’all keep me motivated even on the days when I don’t want to touch my computer. It’s because of y’all that I keep “doin’ what I do.”

Hi, I first want to say that your website has really inspired me to save money on every level.
I have started couponing and wanted to know how you plan your grocery list every week. Do you make your menu based on what is on sale or do you just plan what you want to eat? I want to become more effective at grocery shopping with very little money. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi,
In what part of the Country do you live? I live in the Southeast (Louisiana to be Exact).
As it relates to doubling coupon values, do any stores come to mind?
Also, I loved your post showing pictures of what you purchased and explaining how much you spent and the coupons you used. Looking forward to seeing more of those.
Finally, with BOGO purchases, should you have a coupon for both of the items to really see a saving?
Hope my questions were clear. Thanks for all your tips!! Keep up the Great work.
Welcome to the blackout! I look forward to getting to know you
Hi
Since finding your website in the Esswnce magazine I have become what my friends call a coupon addict..I like finding the deals and look forward to your postings so much that I keep your page open and I refresh it at least 10 times a day because I dont want to miss anything…Keep up the good work>>I know your family appreciates you!!!
I am so glad I found your article in Essence while at the doctors office! I read how you got started and the binder creation really helped as I think the coupon holders tend to hide the coupons. I used dividers with pockets for rebate forms and clear business card/baseball card page protectors so that I could easily see the coupons as I walked the aisles of the store. I bought $146.21 worth of groceries and paid only $73.20 for 67 items! I’m hooked and thanks for the CVS scenarios, they help a newby out grately. God Bless.
I love getting to know you better. What a fabulous idea. My question would be what is your goals with your blog?

Here’s one. I’d like to start reviewing recipe’s on my blog. Have you found any sites with low cost simple recipe’s.
Hi Shynea,
Thanks for your responses to all the questions.
Since I am new to saving money using coupons (about a month), I have started to accumulate quite a few inserts. Could you share some tips on how you keep your coupons organized and accessible.
Keep up the great work.
Hello,
I first heard about pennypinchingdiva from an article in Essence Magazine. After reading about how you many great deals you were able to get and by viewing your page I decided to become more pro-active in the grocery store and better budget my money. Its hard being a single mom, and student without any help and the deals that you post on your page along with some of the links have been a true life-saver thank you so much, keep up the good work and stay blessed.
Hello -
I just started couponing seriously back in March and have found the best way is to store my coupons in a coupon binder…Would you mind posting pixs of how your binder is organized for inspiration?
Thanks

Hey Diva! Stopping by from the Blog Rollers. Congrats of being FB! You have an awesome site. I am a penny-pincher too. The only thing I struggle with is coupons since I only eat whole foods or and use natural products…there are never (or rarely) coupons for my consumer type. Why do you think this is? If you know of a resource for the green, organic consumer, please let me know!
Dropping in from Blogrollers. What a great idea to let your readers ask questions so they can get to know you!
The BlogRollers sent me your way! I try really really hard to keep my blog balanced with My Life and My Business. I like to hear about people, read about them…not only products and businesses.
