SUMMER SHOPPING AT TJ MAXX & MARSHALLS: REVIEW & GIVEAWAY {closed}

I am a bargain shopper. I won’t buy anything unless it is on sale, mark down or clearanced. My mother frequently laughs at me because if I don’t see a red tag, I will put it back on the rack or the shelf. (All of my cars have been used cars. So when I say it, I mean it.)

When I was given the opportunity to shop at TJ Maxx and Marshalls to experience their summer shopping I was more then excited. I have been a shopper at TJ Maxx in the past before. I loved the fact that I could get clearance pricing at their store without my infamous red tag syndrome. Better yet, I was excited to shop at Marshalls. I have never set foot inside of a Marshalls before and I wanted to see if it could hold a candle to TJ Maxx.

When I went shopping I was ready. I had my two giftcards for $25 to each store. I also had my favorite shopping buddy with me:

Yeah, we were ready. I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised at the selection that they had at both stores. I went into each store with the determination to spend the gift cards on myself. I am forever whining saying that I don’t have enough adult clothes, so this was my chance to add some key pieces to my wardrobe.

I walked directly pass the women’s clothing section and headed to the children’s section. I do it every time. I just love to see my babies in cute outfits. I’ll stick to the yoga pants and flip flops for now.

After visiting the two stores, I ended up with this:

I was able to purchase all of this, plus buy me a shirt that isn’t pictured, for a little over $50. To be able to get three entire outfits, a pair of jeans and a shirt, all of them being name brand, I was ecstatic. I am by no means an all “name brand” buyer, but it is nice to have name brand items in your closet for a fration of the cost. I was able to purchase quality pieces that will be able to last them through winter and then pass them on down the line.
