THESE ARE THE REASONS WHY I FELL IN LOVE…
QUESTION: On blogs, the only time you hear about someone’[s spouse is when they are in the dog house. What are some of the BEST things you love about your spouse or significant other?
Because I haven’t posted much about my family on here at all, this question will give me the opportunity to highlight all of the positive things that my fiance contributes to my life. I know that relationships are hard, and I am by no means suggesting that ours is perfect, but I do believe that we should point out the good just as much as we point out the bad.
Top 10 things that I love about my fiance:
- He can make me laugh like no one else.
- He is a very good father, not only to the two sons that we have together, but to my two sons that I had before our relationship.
- He loves his mother and his grandmother to death. I am a firm believer in the quote “you can tell how a man will treat you by the way he treats his mother.”
- He has supported me through all of my crazy projects. Even the one about me raising hamsters. (Don’t even ask.) He was my biggest cheerleader and when they failed, he encouraged me to find another project to start on.
- He knows my favorite pick me up treats. And when I’m down, he has no problem getting them for me.
- He will buy my “personal” items, with a coupon, without complaining.
- He loves me for me. All 100% of my dorky, non-cleaning, junk pile collecting, raw onion eating me.
- Every morning before he goes to work he always says “I don’t do this for me. I do this for my family. Because y’all need me and I want to be needed. I love you.”
- He has the same life goals as I do.
- Because I just do.
I am participating in MomDot’s ever creative Blogger Bingo this week in honor of the PR Blackout. This week you will get lots of personal posts from me so that all of you will get the chance to get to know me better. I hope that you will participate in the conversation as well by answering these questions for yourself in the comments.

I love it. I especially agree with #3
Awww, that was sweet. All of them were touching, but especially #8!!! You totally lost me with the raw onion eating thing, yuck. If he kisses you after that, then that’s definitely true love!!! Lol
Nice post and picture!
That was wonderful to read! Please remember those things on those days when you’re not having such a wonderful relationship and when it’s difficult to love him. Your love will grow even more after you’re married. I don’t know why; it just does.
I love my husband because he serves me. I just recovered from surgery that required me to be off work for 6 weeks and I could not do ANYTHING during that time. My husband cooked, grocery shopped, bathed me, cleaned, and picked up extra shifts at work to offset my loss while off work. He did all this without complaining once. He’s a wonderful man and I love him tremendously!
“Every morning before he goes to work he always says “I don’t do this for me. I do this for my family. Because y’all need me and I want to be needed. I love you.” ”
That is so incredibly sweet!!! You are definately blessed.
You are blessed girl. Take care of yourself and your beautiful family. All we are can be found in the relationships we hold close. God Bless.
I believe after reading your post that you truly have your soulmate. He is the “Real Deal” of what a good man is.
What a great husband! You made me smile thinking about the personal items bought with coupons. LOL
Oh, and you eat RAW onions??? LOL
But to answer your question…. the one thing that I LOVE about my spouse the most, is that he is willing to do whatever it takes around the house for me. He does dishes, mops the floor, vacuums, just about ANYTHING. It is such a huge help to me. I love that soooo much.
Of course there are many other things, but that is one that sticks out in my mind today.
Great post!
