LET’S CELEBRATE FAMILY GAME NIGHT WITH A GIVEAWAY {closed}
I love spending time with my family. With everyone’s hectic schedule, and me now being employed full time outside of the home, creating that quality time for us to spend together is even more important to me now. I have always been a supporter of family night, and I have teamed up with Hasbro to celebrate National Family Game Night on September 23rd.
I’m competitive. I love to win. So is my fiance. Three of the games that we play over-and-over again are Monopoly, Yahtzee and Sorry. We have had all night game fest in which we won’t stop unto of us is literally falling asleep at the game board. Although those games are fun for us, I like to play games that are a little less complex with Isaiah and Elijah. (My two oldest sons.)
With them it’s all about “having fun,” not about the competition. It’s moreso about relaxing and spending time with me. Currently two of their favorite games are Battleship and Pitureka. With Battleship the boys like to play on a team against me. Either that, or Elijah will play on my team for a little bit. (Then midways through the gam, he will switch over to his brother’s team. It never fails.) But it’s fun. It’s a family tradition and memories that I am creating with them.
Board games are fun. They really are, and Hasbro has an entire line of baord games that will fit any family’s needs. Recently they have taken the classic games and “spiced them up a bit.” Like The Game of Life: Twists and Turns and Connect 4×4. If your family leans more towards card games, then the new spin on Crazy Old Fish War might be something for you. It’s a combination of the classic games Crazy 8, Old Maind, Go Fish and War. Loves it!

I looooove the Game of Life! i can play it over and over again! Monopoly I always seem to lose…lol!! I also played Scrabble with my dad when I was younger. To be honest I think I love to spell off scrabble!

I used to love Connect Four and their commercials(Gotcha,four across. Pretty sneaky,sis). I noticed in the store the other day it was revamped to allow 4 to play. My 4 kids could have a blast with that. Scrabble slam sounds interesting too.

We play scrabbled and chess a lot (and have a ton of games that are NOT in their list any more because they are old).
Chess is a new one to me and the kids love kickin’ my butt.

I used to play Monopoly with my family all the time. We played so much that we had to take a break! Luckily, we’ve gotten back into the habit and really enjoy sitting down for a long game with our house rules. Can’t get enough of it!
