As you all know, I am the mother of four sons. With all four sons, it seemed like I learned something new. I either discovered a better way to do something, or I was introduced to a new product that made me think “I wish they had this around with my other son. Life would have been SO much easier.”

That is how I felt a year ago when I was introduced to baby slings and baby wearing. Of course I had seen a few other mothers wear them, but I had no idea how to use them exactly. I also had this pre-conceived notion that they would be extremely uncomfortable on my back.

Of course I was wrong.

I was beyond excited when I got the chance to review a sling by Baby So Smart. When I first browsed this company’s website, I knew that there baby slings would be of extreme quality because they were all hand sewn and made out of silk. What better way to carry a baby than to carry them in luxury?

I, however, fell in love with a sling from their Inspiration Sling collection. It was the Adelle Orion sling.

The “Aedelle Orion” is yet my other favorite Inspiration sling, as it was inspired by my youngest daughter, Aedelle Orion being her middle name. Her full name means “Beauty & Blessing from ashes,” as she is our miracle child. This sling conveys to me her vivacity in life (even at this very young age), her beauty, her uniqueness, and her overall love for life. Espresso brown (the “Aedelle”) dupioni silk is paired with a very beautiful, art-like rendering of raspberry songbirds on a very pale yellow ground, then accented with a beautiful buttercream dupioni silk and a narrow band of raspberry accent. The sling is topped off with pink rings and two zippered pockets, for a very unique, very lovely sling.

It is exceptionally gorgeous and I am very blessed to have been gifted with a baby sling of this quality. Next year, I will have three babies under the age of three and I can gurantee that this baby sling will get plenty of use from me. I have also been eyeing another baby sling just in case I want to try my hand at double baby wearing.
