HOMEMADE MONKEY BREAD – DOWNLOADABLE RECIPE

Monkey Bread 01

I love making homemade treats for my family and when I found out how easy it was to make Homemade Monkey Bread, I just couldn’t help myself. This dessert or family snack only takes about ten minutes to prep and 40 minutes to bake. So in less than an hour you will have something for your entire family to munch on. This recipes comfortably feeds eight people so you can make this when you are going to have company over or you just want something for your family to indulge in.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cans of Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits
  • 2 1/2 sticks of butter
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 3 tsp of cinnamon
  • any sized or shaped pan that you want

DIRECTIONS

  1. Monkey Bread 02Before you get started, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large Ziploc bag, mix together the white sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Open the three cans of Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits, separate each individual biscuits and cut them in four pieces. (Meaning cut them in half and then half again.)
  4. Take your biscuit pieces and toss them in the sugar and cinnamon mix.
  5. Spread the biscuit pieces in the pan of your choice.
  6. Set your stove to low heat and in a pan melt your butter and brown sugar until they are combined. (Approximately 2-4 minutes.)
  7. Pour the mixture over the bread pieces that you have placed in your pan.
  8. Allow the mixture to sit on the bread for a few minutes. (It may look like too much liquid at first but it will absorb quickly once baked.)
  9. Bake for 30-45 minutes depending on how set you’d like your Monkey bread to be.
  10. Eat with a dollop of ice cream and enjoy!
