MEMBERS: LOST/CHANGED PASSWORDS TIPS

Announcements

I have received a lot of emails from people who have signed up for the Member’s Only section and they are having trouble with their passwords. I just wanted to make a little tutorial on the registration process so you won’t have a hard time getting in to see the protected posts.

  • When you first register for the Member’s Only section, you will have to fill out the form in it’s entirety for it to go through. That means first name, last name, user name, email address, etc…
  • Once you have filled out this information a TEMPORARY password will be emailed to you. You have to wait for this email. Depending on how busy your email server is, it could take anywhere from 5-30 minutes to receive this temporary password.
  • Once you receive your TEMPORARY password, you have to login to the Member’s Only section. This is where a lot of people are getting stuck. They just log in and they think that they have registered. That is not the case. You still have to accept the FREE version of the membership in order to see the protected posts.
  • When you login for the FIRST time you will then be directed to a page that will ask you to select either the PAID option or the FREE subscription option. You want to select the FREE option because the paid option is not available right now.
  • Once you have completed this step, you will be able to see the protected posts for Member’s Only. But you still have that temporary password in effect. You will need to change your password to something secure, that you will remember. Whenever you get the chance, go to your user profile page and change your password! You will have to enter letters and numbers, and enter it twice. Then you will press UPDATE PROFILE. Now you can login with your own created password from now on.
  • Now, when you go to the login screen, you will be able to enter your username and password. There is also a little checkbox that will ask you if you want to always stay logged in. If you DON’T want to enter your password in every time, check this checkbox and press login. You will now be logged in and you will not have to enter your password when you come the the website.

If you have ANY questions, please feel free to ask me here and I will be more than happy to help you and answer all of your questions.

  1. That happened to me several times. I kept forgetting to change it when I logged in so each time I came back I had to reset my password. LOL Oops. :)
