WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: MY BABY’S 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL
My two year old had his first day of school. Yes, I cried harder than him.
Getting out of the car.
All smiles walking toward the school.
He’s growing up so fast, and I don’t want him too.

That is just outrageously cute.
I think we will always have a harder time than our kids. He looks adorable and I hope he had a good first day!
My first one was in day care since I was a single mom. But yes it was hard to deal with. My 5 yr has been going to elementary school since he was 3 so it wasn’t that hard but still my daughter and him are 9 yrs apart and it was like it was my first born all over again. I still have one more at home and I’m sure I will cry when he starts.
Your little man is so cute!
Dear Tiff,
I had to put my first two in daycare because I was a single mom as well and working third shift and then taking care of two active boys was killing me. I had to switch jobs and put them in daycare. I felt awful but I had to understand that I wasn’t expected to be super mommy. I could have 19 kids and I think I would probably cry for ALL of their 1st days.
Take care,
Shynea
LOL. Looks like a very happy child. My children were the same way.
He is so cute – love those big eyes! I am sure I will be a basket case when my son finally goes to school.
Dear Jennifer,
Yes ma’am you will! It’s in a mother’s nature. lol I thought “hey, I’ve already done this three times I’ll be fine.” No, that wasn’t the case. lol
Take care,
Shynea
Cutie-pie! Hang in there mom. It’ll get easier!
Winks & Smiles,
Wifey
I finally stopped crying on the first day of school when The Princess was in 5th grade.
Dear SuperMommie,
I stopped crying after preschool. I was already use to them being gone all day and they no longer were clinging to me. I have four boys though, so I’m sure if it was my little girl I would still be in tears all the way up to highschool.
Take care,
Shynea
Oh she is so cute!
Dear Julie,
I get that all of the time. That’s my little rough neck boy. You just have to excuse all of that hair.
Take care,
Shynea
Shynea,
He is absolutely adorable!! What a sweetie. I’m glad to hear that he handled it well….if he didn’t, you would be even more of a mess. I know that from experience. I once had to peel Chuckie off of my leg and walk away, that was awful and I cried the whole way home! He was fine after I left but it was traumatic for me! lol!
Dear Priscilla,
I know that had to be SO tramatic for you. I would have been in tears as well. I understand that they have to get socialization with their peers, but I still just want to keep them home with me. (Although they drive me nuts. lol) I would homeschool if I had the patience. Ummm, no. I take that back. No I wouldn’t.
Take care,
Shynea
awww such a cutie! why do they grow up so fast
u may view mine here
Dear Mizhelle,
As much as I say I want them to be grown already I still am all nostalgic when they get older.
Take care,
Shynea
OMG he is so freaking cute!!
Last September, when Ro started preschool, I was afraid she was going to cry and miss me. NOPE. She was all “OK. Bye! I’m going to school now!” LOL
I made it to the gate before I lost it completely. It’s so sad that we cry more than them.
Dear Shan,
Awwww. lol I guess she said she was ready to be a big girl.
I had one son who was ready to go to school and he was like “bye ma” and left me at the door. lol
Take care,
Shynea
What a little cutie! I hope the first day went okay! And I was just like you-in tears the first day, but it does get a little easier!
Dear Staci,
It has gotten easier for me this week because he is settling into school just fine. I was just SO upset because one, he’s growing up and two, he was upset. I guess after he figured we would be coming back for him he chilled out a little bit.
Take care,
Shynea
They grow up so fast, don’t they? It is unbelievable how fast they grow. My baby is one today – can you believe it?
Dear Upstatemomof3,
They really do grow up SO fast. I just look at them in amazement sometimes. Awww, your baby is one today! I know you were all kinds of emotional. What are you doing for her birthday?
Take care,
Shynea
I couldn’t wait for mine to go— JK
Dear Lamazogogo,
I thought I would have been the same way since he was my third son, but I was still all emotional.
Take care,
Shynea
He is so adorable. He reminds me of my daughter with his little round face. I should email you a picture of her
Dear K.O.,
You really should. I have been wanting to see a picture of your little girl for the LONGEST. I bet she is TOO cutie.
Take care,
Shynea
I just emailed you some…
Sounds like my oldest when he went off to school. I actually followed the school bus and he never looked back. LOL! They grow so fast.
He is such a sweetie pie. I love his do.
