ANNOUNCING DIVA WITH SCENTS: MY NEW BUSINESS & YOURS TOO

I have been working on this website for about a month, and I am finally glad to be able to release it to my readers. I’m excited to say that I am now an Independent Consultant for a company called Scentsy and you can find my online store at Diva With Scents. (I love the play on words.) I bought this product for a year before I even thought about selling it. I only advertise products on Penny Pinching Diva that I, or Priscilla, have approved. But for me to go one step further and sell it should really give you a hint at how good this product is.

What is Scentsy?

Basically, in my terms, it is the best alternative to candles if you have small children or pets in your household.

I LOVE for my house to smell good. I don’t like the fear that one of my children could accidentally knock over a candle and set the place aflame. My solution basically was to find another alternative. That is when I was introduced to wickless candles (candles that didn’t use a flame to spread the scent, but instead used a lightbulb).

I offer a variety of warmers, from full sized to the plugins that you can use in your bathroom or any other small space. You just plug them in, add the scented wax (which comes in over 80 different scents), and wait about 5 minutes for the wax to start melting and your house to start smelling really good. It sounds so simple, because it really is. And it allows me to plug up my warmer and not have to stand guard over it for fear one of my children might burn the house down.

Is it priced reasonably?

I’m going to say yes. (And I say this because I have done the math just to make sure. *wink*)

Warmers are priced between $25 and $30 and the bars of wax are priced at $5 a bar (each bar will give you about 60-80 hours of smelly goodness). Once you purchase your warmers, you’ll only need to replenish the wax. Compare that to continuously buying candles, air refreshning sprays, namebrand plugins, incense, etc… and you have a really good savings amount. Not only that, but you can purchase a warmer to match any decor.

Does these warmers make good gifts?

This is what I bought my mother, my mother-in-law and my grandmother-in-law for Mother’s Day this year. It’s too cute, isn’t it? And it’s something that they will use year round and not shove somewhere in the closet. (This is the perfect gift for my mother because she lives seven hours away, so I will make sure to send her new bars every month and she has no choice but to think of me. *wink*)

Does it make you the income you desire?

Yes ma’am! Going into selling Scentsy, I said “I would be happy if I made enough money to pay my car note each month.” And that is my motivating force for this. Do other’s make less than this? Of course, because that is the amount of time that they put into this business. Do other’s make more than this? Yes, there are plenty of people who have made this their full time job and get paid accordingly. My MAIN New Year’s resolution was to be a fulltime WAHM by December 31st, 2010 and I am working on that goal continuously.

What I love about this is that I have the opportunity to build a team of strong women who also want to add some cushion to their financial needs.

All of my team members do not have to live in Florida, because with today’s technology (my favorite being the phone, conference calling, the computer, and Skype), I can train, motivate, encourage and stay in touch with the women who choose to step out and try something new. How many Mary Kay and Avon ladies do you know? Now how many people do you know who sell Scentsy? Plus, I am a ball of energy and ideas and I am coming up with something new everyday. If you have $99 and the will to try something new, plus work closely with me on a weekly basis *wink*, then you should think about JOINING MY TEAM.

I empower women as I move along, I don’t step over them or around them to get where I’m going.
