DATE NIGHT WITH CARRABBA’S VIAGGI DEL GUSTO PASSPORT + A 48 HOUR GIVEAWAY
I LOVE Italian food. When I moved from a a fairly small town in Alabama to a bigger city in Florida I was really excited about my restaurant choices. (I know that this may sound weird, but I love to eat good food.) We didn’t have a good Italian restaurant in Alabama so when I had a friend tell me about Carrabba’s a few days ago I was beyond excited.
Carrabba’s has a new promotion called Viaggi del Gusto Passports. This is a coupon booklet that comes with a few recipes and some interesting culinary history.
Inside the passport you will find complimentary dishes and a discount!
- Limoncello Bread Pudding and a quartino of wine hailing from Tuscany.
- Bruschette or Calamari representing Sardinia.
- 20% discount on carry-out. (Just in case you want to enjoy Italy right at home!)
When you visit your local Carrabba’s all you have to do is request a passport. I suggest that you hurry because this promotion ends on April 15th.
In addition to the Viaggi del Gusto Passports, Carrabba’s is also offering two lucky people a chance to win a ticket to Italy this summer! Check out all of the information and then enter to win!

The grilled salmon looks great.
We don’t often have date nights. We like to order in and watch a video.
If we have a date night at home, we have our children watch a kids’ movie of their choosing in the next room.

Love Carrabba’s! I would use the gift card towards dinner with my hubby. We don’t go out very much anymore because we don’t have the extra money.
My favorite menu item is the Chicken Marsala.
My hubby and I like to go out for dinner for date nights, which are very rare these days! Lately we have been borrowing movies from the library and enjoy watching them together.
If we have a date night at home we just wait until our little one has gone to bed. He is usually asleep by 8:30, and sleeps very soundly! If we’re going out we have my mom come over to watch him for us.

We usually wait for the kids to go to bed, and cook a diner together. I find it very romantic when we spend time doing things we love.

I would definitely use this gift card to go out on a date. With the warm weather here, it would be great to catch lunch on a Saturday, or maybe one night during the week.
I love Salmon, so I would choose the grilled Salmon.
When you have children, it’s hard to get a night to yourself. So, once the kiddo is in bed (which sometimes is our bed…don’t judge) we snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie or show on tv. Sometimes simplicity is the best source of romance.
To occupy my son, we do activities before bedtime that will make him tired, LOL. We play board games, the Wii, go outside, and whatever else we can think of. This makes bedtime much easier because he is tired.

When our children were young, on date nights at home we would have the children very active in the afternoon so they would be tired and ready for bed early. We might take them to a new city park and play with them for an hour or 2 and maybe have a picnic. We might play t-ball or frisbee. Later, we would do something extra-nice for them such having as a special supper they really liked (chicken nuggets, etc). After they went to bed, we would have a special meal at home – with grownup celebration food like steak or shrimp or seafood – and then watch a rented movie.

I would use the gift certificate to take my 14 year old daughter to dinner. I have a 17 month old baby and being a single mother, it is hard to always give my older child the attention that she deserves due to time and finances. We would have a mother-daughter date night!

The Manicotti is my favorite
If Hubby and I get a date night we would probably go to dinner and a movie – movies being the main thing we cannot do with our children.
I would enjoy a nice, uninterrupted dinner with a friend….
