LIVE GIVEAWAY: CASCADIAN FARM MAKES ORGANIC FOOD TASTE GOOD {CLOSED}
I like to feed my family healthy food as much as possible. I use to only incorporate healthier foods in our dinners, and settle for something quick and easy in the mornings for breakfast. That usually resulted in lots of sugary cereals or quick fixes that they could pop in the toaster or microwave. Their breakfasts were full of extra sugar, fat, and basically a bunch of empty calories.
I was recently given the opportunity to have my family taste test some healthy, organic breakfast options by Cascadian Farm and we are hooked.
In my package we got to eat:
- Fruitful O’s cereal
- Cinnamon Crunch cereal
- Chocolate Chip Chewy granola bars
- Dark Chocolate Almond Granola
- Dark Chocolate Almond granola bars
- Oats & Honey granola
My children gravitated towards the Cascadian Farm Cinnamon Crunch cereal for kids. It reminded them the most of their original Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, because with this pregnancy I have been craving cereal and my favorite is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. (I have to shamefully admit I can eat an entire box in one sitting.) With my and my cravings, I decided to give Casadian Farm’s Cinnamon Crunch a try and I fell in love. It gave me the taste and the crunch that I wanted without all of the calories and sugar. It really did hold a torch to the original sugary mess I was use to eating before and my kids didn’t notice a difference at all.
Another good thing about Cascadian Farm is that each person that signs a pledge now through May 31, 2010, Cascadian Farm will donate $1, up to $40,000, to the Organic Farming Research Foundation, which fosters the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems. All you have to do is visit their Facebook page and sign the pledge that’s right for you.
Now win your own Cascadian Farm breakfast package!

We eat all organic for grains, beans and the dirty dozen of fruits and veggies. I do as much as I can possibly afford because food is health. My children are allergic to gluten, soy and dairy so that limits what we can buy. My husband really misses cereal! He would love to have some of the boxes of Cascadian Farm cereal for breakfast at work. Cascadian Farm is a good brand. I love when our commissary carries it! Their frozen veggies are a good deal because you’re not paying for all of the parts that you have to cut off, kwim?
It is just my son & myself at home. I would love to eat organic foods, & usually try to get them when they are on sale or when I have a coupon. We generally eat healthy by eating fresh fruits & veggies. I have tried organic milk & that is something that we both like. I am hoping that when he starts kindergarten & I am no longer paying for childcare, we will be able to incorporate more organic foods into our diet.
Buying fresh produce is one of the easiest ways we incorporate healthy food options into your family’s meals. We eat organic foods from time to time, mostly fruits and yogurts. I’d love to try the chocolate granola bars as I think breakfast is our family’s most unhealthy meal.
I try to incorporate healthy food for my family by buying soy products because my 6 yr old son is allergic to dairy. my family takes well to them. I also recently started substiuting ground chicken instead of beef for meals like hamburger helper. I cook fish 3 times of out the week. The most unhealthy meal for my family either breakfast of lunch on weekends.
My mon is a stroke survivor and my son has autism so my family tries to eat healthier foods that are gluten free, Lactose free, with all natural ingredients.
My mother is a stroke survivor so my family tries to eat healthy… We now read the labels before we purchase groceries; checking for low sodium, no-trans fats, and natural ingredients. Plus we try to eat together at least 3 times a week.
After we eat together sometimes on the weekends to work off the extra calories we listen to music and dance the pounds away:)
