LIVE GIVEAWAY: SECRETS OF THE MOUNTAIN DVD COMBO PACK GIVEAWAY {CLOSED}
I am always looking for family friendly movies to watch with my sons. There aren’t many movies that I can find playing on tv that I approve of. (Only because I like to watch a movie beforehand if I can.) Sometimes children movies have adult innuendos in them that I just don’t like.
I was really excited to learn that Wal-Mart and P&G had teamed up to start creating the exact type of movies that I was looking for. I was really happy to see that not only would the be placing these movies on tv, but they would release them for sell to be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.
The first movie they released was called Secrets of the Mountain. Here’s a brief synopsis on what it’s about:
Somewhere between the demands of her career, her ex’s wedding and her kids’ busy schedules, Dana James (Paige Turco, The Agency) is noticing her tight-knit family starting to unravel. An unexpected offer to purchase her family’s mountain property sets up a weekend road trip, which she hopes will bring her family back together. But when they arrive, they quickly learn that the mountain is much more than it seems. An ancient secret and a treacherous quest will test the family like never before. It’s an edge-of-the seat thriller that reminds us that when times are tough, families don’t run away from problems — they run back to each other.
Here’s a preview of the movie:

We like to watch Disney movies and family friendly comedies. Our family spends time together playing board games, card games, (they go fishing a lot), watching movies, video games and sitting around just being silly and goofy. Whatever we can do together always works for me.
My family likes looking at movies that we grew up on, which remind us how important families are to us.We make extra efforts to do different things that does’nt cost very much, if nothing at all,that’s advertised in local papers, magazines, as well as websites. 0ur family loves spending time together from the youngest to the wisest. Sundays is our best time to eat together & get ready to make the most of our week ahead.
I love your live giveaways – never win but the journey is fun!!
We’ve been trying to do more of the “classic” and Focus on the Family movies in our house. Enough of these new cartoons that only teach you that if you hit someone your hand swells and then goes away and no one gets hurt or time outs.
Plus – if I’ve got to sit there and watch the movies I’d like for it to entertain me too! LOL
Since we have younger children, the movies that we watch as a family tend to be anything that the kids are interested in. As a family we, go to the park, out to dinner, go on day trips to the beach. As a blended family, our activities range from; boys night out, girls night out; mommy and kids, daddy and kids.
We watch anything and everything, really. Lately it seems like we have been on an animated type “kick”
well i always have a houseful of kids
we like anything that dont have adult content
there is a lot of movies that would be great if they would leave out all the cussing
we love to watch movies and now school is out we have all day to watch when we dont go outside
Having different ages, it’s hard to find games that the whole family can do together
On family night we like to play board games. My son’s favorite is trouble. We are now learning to play chess. It’s fun and challenges his mind.
