I’M TAKING A SABBATICAL THIS SUMMER, BUT I WON’T BE GONE

I have decided that I’m going to take a break this summer from posting about deals, coupons, sales, etc… and just enjoy this time with my family and my daughter. (It still feels SO weird saying that.) I will still be updating this website with posts, but I have decided that I’m going to focus on things that are a lot closer to home; posts that at this time in my life I feel really passionate about.
- I’ll be updating more about my family. Which means more stories about my children, more personal pictures, and if I can ever get the program on my computer to work I’ll be doing a few vlogs (video blogs).
- Recipes. I have a few new recipes in my head floating around that I want to try, so I’m really excited to be concentrating on that.
- I’m going to keep doing the “Standing On My Soapbox” posts. Those have become really popular on here and I plan to start making that a weekly feature, as I have quite a bit of fun “rambling at the mouth” to anyone who will listen.
- I plan on writing more “articles.“ I want to bring back the “Managing Series” that I started last year. I had a lot of fun writing that series of articles and I plan on beefing up that portion of the website.
- I’m going to start working on Mornings With Mom again. (If you’re new to reading my blog, Mornings With Mom is an online Christian magazine and community for women that I started last year.) I have let that slide for far too long, and it is my goal to get that up and running again before my maternity leave is over. That site really holds my heart and I feel so bad that I let it go.
And if all else fails, I will post the occasional deal postings here and there (only if it’s a really good one). I’ll make sure to direct you to some really good deal sites this summer that will give you your daily fixin’ of deals. *smiles* Everything will return back to normal around here sometime in August, but for now I want to take a break from the hectic schedule of posting about saving money and just enjoy life. I’m in a good place right now, and I’m really happy to say that for the first time in a long time I have more joy in my heart then I have pain. I want to savor that feeling, and these moments, for as long as I can.

i am so excited cant wait!
Good for you!!! I like the personal posts more anyways. I love getting to see pictures of the babies, and hear about a “day in the life”. I can get deals anywhere, but I can’t find Shynea anywhere
K.O said it perfectly! I can’t wait to learn about the Diva behind the savings!
