WEEK THREE OF THE BIBLE IN 90 DAYS CHALLENGE

297 views

I’m still participating in the Bible in 90 Days challenge. I am officially a week behind, but I plan on doubling up on my reading this week to catch up to where I need to be. I am so proud of myself for taking on this challenge, and I know that I will only grow spiritually as I get further and further into my Bible. I have already seen a change in me because I am getting a daily, quiet devotional time with God that I have never had before. I am reflecting on the words that I am reading and it’s causing me to direct a lot of my problems, fears, frustrations, etc… to God instead of holding onto them internally and allowing them to take over me.

WEEK THREE READING:

  • MONDAY: Deuteronomy23:12 to Deuteronomy 34:12
  • TUESDAY: Joshua 1:1 to Joshua 14:15
  • WEDNESDAY: Joshua 15:1 to Judges 3:27
  • THURSDAY: Judges 3:28 to Judges 15:12
  • FRIDAY: Judges 15:13 to 1 Samuel 2:29
  • SATURDAY: 1 Samuel 2:30 to 1 Samuel 15:35
  • SUNDAY: 1 Samuel 16:1 to 1 Samuel 28:19

If you’re participating in this challenge, please leave a comment below and let me know how you’re doing. I would be more than happy to offer you words of encouragement through this process. Or, vice versa. Offer words of encouragement to me or someone else in the comments who is participating.

I’m also going to participate in Mom’s Toolbox idea of doing a daily S.O.A.P. during this challenge. What is S.O.A.P?

Read the passage and find the one thing I believe God is telling me that morning. Then I journal about it using the acrostic SOAP as a guide.

  • S: Scripture - Write the ONE scripture that I feel God is using to speak to me in today’s reading.
  • O: Observation - What might He be telling me with that scripture?
  • A: Application – How can I apply it to my life?
  • P: Prayer – What is my prayer to ask God in helping me to make that application?

Although I won’t be reading the same passages as those who are on the reading schedule, I think that this daily reflection will be good for all of us. I look forward to this upcoming week and I can’t wait to see how it goes.

    I’m not actually doing this challenge because I have assigned Bible reading for class every day, but I think it’s great that you’re sticking with the program and doing the challenge! I’m sure you will be blessed by it!!

    Hi! How is your reading going this week? Are you catching up at all?

    I found this awesome promise that I think we should claim for this challenge:

    You will show me the path of life;
    In Your presence is fullness of joy;
    At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
    -Psalm 16:11

    It’s such a great promise, that we will have fullness of joy by spending time in God’s presence!
    Happy reading!
