MY TOOTY ISN’T SUCH A LITTLE BOY ANYMORE
I haven’t made an update on Tooty in a long time. So many things have happened, and now we are taking yet another stride in the direction of getting him to develop like children his age. I remember when he started pre-school for the first time back in March. I was so excited and upset at the same time because he was growing up and I didn’t want him to. I knew that this would be the best thing for him, but a little of the selfish inside of me wanted to keep him all to myself.
Needless to say, he did really good in that program.
I had a meeting with his EIP (early intervention program) coordinator about a month ago to decide on the next steps that we wanted to take in his case. It was then that we decided that it would be good for him to attend a Pre-K3 program at an actual elementary school. Me, the over protective mother decided that it would be best to unleash my teeny tiny baby into a humongous elementary school with tons of big kids.

This is my Tooty on his first day of school.

This is me walking Tooty inside his school on his first day.

This is my big boy getting off of the bus after his first day.
I know that as parents we have to make hard decisions for our children. I think sending him to this elementary school was more emotional for me than it was for him. Tooty is growing up and developing so quickly. He is still taking physical and speech therapy. He is interacting more with children his age. I’m just so proud of him.

Aaaawww. Look at those bright eyes! Congratulations to the both of you. He’ll continue to do well, I’m sure! Blessings!
