YOUR TWO MONTHS OLD, MY HOW YOU’VE GROWN SO FAST

Dear Baby Girl,

I can’t believe that you are two months old already. It seems like only yesterday that you were first born, and here you are already doing so many new things in such a short amount of time.

Unfortunately I have been treating you like a baby doll and dressing you up for no apparent reason.On most days you don’t mind too much. On other days, your content with just a pair of socks and a onesie. I guess I do this because I’m still in awe, that after four boys, I have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl.

I look at you sometimes and I become overwhelmed with so much emotion.

It’s like I breath for you. I can’t imagine any harm coming your way. I get upset at the mere thought of you being hurt or going through painful situations. I do love your older brothers to death, but it is something about you that makes me want to keep you close to me all of the time.

The one thing that you aren’t liking right now is your car seat. I get this upset face from you everytime I have to buckle you in.

It’s kind of like you’re giving me silent attitude and I’m already imagining how you’ll be in your preteen years. (Hopefully you’ll take after me and won’t be too awful until you’re at least sixteen years old.) Needless to say car rides with you aren’t fun. You cry from the time we pull out of the driveway until the time we get to our destination. Sometimes that is twenty minutes of nonstop hollering and by the time we’re there my nerves are fried and you fall asleep as soon as I pick you up.

One thing that I am loving right now is that you’re smiling. You smile when I talk to you. You wake up smiling. You smile when you see my face. I know this isn’t a good picture, but I had to use my cell phone and catch you smiling one morning “just because.”

Yeah, the picture is blurry and definitely doesn’t do you any justice but this is the first picture of your first real smile.

Here’s to another month with you  my beautiful baby girl.
