ANNOUNCEMENTS: A FEW CHANGES & A 2011 WEEKEND RETREAT
I have a few quick announcements that I would like to make regarding Penny Pinching Diva.
- As a lot of you may have noticed, my website was down the entire weekend. My website’s server could not handle the amount of traffic that it was receiving and it basically just shut everything down. With my patience, and the help of the beautiful Kathleen of For the Love of Chaos, I moved my website over to a new server. The website is now loading a lot faster then it was previously and I’m too happy about that. No more lag.
- If you were a previous email subscriber, you may notice that you have not received an email from me in a few days. In the move I lost all 1300+ subscribers but I am in the process of trying to retrieve that list. Please bear with me as this may take a few days and too much technical headaches. For now, you will have to click through at least once a day to see the updated deal posts.
- I recently announced that I was running a free online coupon class. I initially was going to take 15 people but unfortunately most that showed interest didn’t read the post in it’s entirety. I would love to help people learn how to be frugal, I even have a few things up my sleeve for the participants, but it makes it hard for me to work with a group if all instructions are not read and followed. This is the only free online class that I will be running this year and I want nothing more then to extend this offer to my readers. So please, if you are interested, read the entire post and I will accept you. This offer is open until this evening. After that the class starts on November 1st.
- I will be rolling out a few new featured articles for Penny Pinching Diva. It’s about time that I get back to posting on a regular, scheduled basis. With that comes new daily features that will hopefully get more of my readers involved in the website. Be looking for that announcement post in the coming week.
- If you haven’t already signed up to become a member of the new community aspect of Penny Pinching Diva, then please do so. I am in the process of forming, and organizing, groups on the website. There is also an internal messaging/friending system in place where you can get to know the other members of the website as well. Being a member comes with a few perks as well. You’ll get first dibs on any upcoming classes that I offer in the future, you’ll have access to downloadable features only accesible through membership, and I will be hosting a few member’s only giveaways. Joining is easy and free!
- I have three more business ventures that I will be launching at the beginning of 2011. I am excited about these business ventures because it will allow me to branch out in other areas of interest and bring more women together online. I love having a community feel online and I can’t wait to reveal more details about them. Everything that I am launching takes a group effort and I’m really excited to make more announcements about these in the future.
I enjoy working on my website. I enjoy answering y’all emails, instant messaging y’all, and even talking with some of y’all over the phone. Everything that I do behind the scenes is for those who come to my website. With the economy every little penny counts, especially if you are caring for other’s besides just yourself. I take joy in helping spread the knowledge of saving money because I know so many households need this kind of information but don’t know where to start. If you have any suggestions on how I can continuously move my site in a better direction, never hesitiate to leave a comment or contact me.
P.S. Remember when I announced that I was planning a DIVA WEEKEND RETREAT a few months ago? That is still in the works for 2011. Can I say Orlando anyone? *wink smile wink*

As soon as I hear from more of the sponsors, I will be able to release more details and the date. I am going to make sure that I release information 4-6 months before the event, along with an easy payment plan, so that everyone has ample enough time to prepare, scrimp and save (as my mama says). I will actually be hosting two events in 2011 but the second one takes a little more preparation. (*coughcruiseshipcough*) I’m hoping that I can do at least two events a year. We’ll see.
How is that beautiful baby girl? Please don’t disown me as a friend. lol I am moving AGAIN this weekend so I will be all settled down in a week and able to email you, and send off both cards to you that are packed in a box.

). So I’ve seen some of what you’ve had going on. I’ve been praying for you. Sometimes I get stressed out just reading everything that keeps happening. It seems like if it’s not one thing, it’s another. So I completely understand that you’ve had a lot going on. You just take care of you and keep that head up and that heart strong!

I LOVE staying busy. If I don’t I go absolutely crazy from boredom. I have always wanted to host my own event/conference/meet-up so I am finally getting the opportunity to do that, work with a few great companies, and meet a handful of the woman that have been following me on my crazy life journey via my blog. Everyone may be strangers at the beginning of the weekend, but I can guarantee that it won’t be like that by the end of the weekend.
