I’m a big fan of Disney movies. That really isn’t a secret as I proclaimed my excitement not too long ago about seeing Tangled in 3D. Disney has been my go to source for family entertainment for the last nine years.

Disney has done it again by releasing a new spin on a classic tale cutely titled Gnomeo & Juliet.

The original story that it is based off of, Romeo & Juliet, may not have been one of my favorite Shakespearean plays but it was a classic. Everyone I know had to read it in high school. Some, like me, were forced to perform the play in their English Literature class. Either way, we all know who Romeo & Juliet were. Leave it up to Disney to make this story into a 3D movie that the entire family can enjoy.

If you haven’t seen the previews for this movie already, take a peek below:

This movie is too cute and I am especially excited because I have the opportunity to see an advance screening of it before it even hits the theaters! If you’re planning to have a family day in February, I recommend that you take your family to see this. Here’s a quick synopsis of the story:

The greatest love story ever told, starring…garden gnomes? In “Gnomeo & Juliet,” Shakespeare’s revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. Directed by Kelly Asbury (co-director of “Shrek 2”) and showcasing both classic and original songs by Elton John, the film features the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, who have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors. But with plastic pink flamingos and thrilling lawnmower races in the mix, can this young couple find a happy ending?
