7 MONTHS ALREADY – MY HOW TIME FLIES

Dear Baby Girl,

You’re seven months old already. I still can’t believe how much you have grown. It seems like only yesterday that you were born and now you are sitting up all by yourself and army crawling your way into so much trouble.

I remember when I found out that you were a little girl. I was so excited because after four boys I was finally going to be able to buy all of the cute little bows and hair ornaments that I’ve been ogling over for the past nine years. It took me six months to even attempt to give you your first “real” hairstyle and I have to say that I did a pretty good job.

I wouldn’t call myself a pro by any means but the second time around was even better.

There are so many things that you have accomplished so far, and I may be biased, but I think that you’re very gifted for your age. Within days of learning how to army crawl you started sitting up on your own. You then advanced from scooting to actually trying to attempt to crawl. I watched in amazement as I saw you get on your knees and start to rock back and forth. You then decided to take it a step further and pushed up on your hands and feet. Yes, it was an odd pose but you started laughing uncontrollably (I’m guessing it’s from the head rush you got from being in such an odd position).

You’re still as nosy as ever.

You see everything. Nothing can pass by you without you noticing it. Literally. Everyone says that you get this “extra nosey feature” from me. I beg to differ. I like to call it an inquisitive nature. A lovely little gene that I passed on to you. I have a feeling that you will be my eyes an ears when you get older. What I don’t see concerning your older brothers you will. Hopefully you’ll report back to me so I can stop whatever little scheme they are working up on in it tracks. (Or you may choose to work against me because you already do that so well.)

You let me know when you’re tired, hungry, bored, frustrated, or tired of taking pictures.

I love you more than any words can ever show, and I am already so over protective of you. I cringe at the thought of you growing older and *gasp* dating. (The story of Rapunzel, locked away in her tower, is starting to sound better to me day-by-day.)

Always keep your personality just the way it is. Never change. Okay, maybe just to loose the attitude.

Love you always, Mom

    • Dear Shelby,

Thank you! I’m trying my best to learn the ins-and-outs of taking care of a little girl. After four boy, this is all uncharted water for me.

      Take care,
      Shynea

  2. She is SOOOO cute! And I’m loving those big soft curls. I want to borrow her :)

    • Dear KO,

She is a mess. Her attitude and personality are already so formed. I should take some video of her and start posting it on here. I’m not use to big, soft curls. I have no idea what type of products to use on her hair. Having a little girl is new territory to me.

      Take care,
      Shynea
