I had a great mini shopping trip today. I wasn’t planning on going to the store today, but I decided that while I was out I would kill two birds with one stone. I always try to go out and purchase the deals that I post so I can make sure that they work. Today, my first trip was to Target to test out the $.99 Olay Regenerist Cleansing face cloths deal. This is what happened:

I found the Olay Regenerist Cleansing Cloths but they were priced at $6.24 at my store. This was still a good deal to me so I ended up getting them for $1.24. I also found an awesome Starkist deal on their tuna fish pouches. I had two $1.50 off coupons and two $.75 off coupons. So I got ten pouches for only $3.70.

My total before coupons was $14.44. After my coupons I only paid $4.94. I saved  $9.50. This is really good for me and I can’t wait to surf the internet for some new tuna fish recipes to try out.

After I left Target I decided to head on over to Walgreens to see if they had anymore Right Guard deodorant left. Per my previous post, you could get two Right Guard deodorants for free with just one coupon and this weeks current sale. This is what I got:

These deodorants were priced at $4.79 each. The total before any sales and coupons were applied was $19.16, After sales and coupons I paid only $.49! I was excited to say the least because these were the bonus packages that had a trial sized body wash attached to them. I gave the body washes to my oldest sons because they like smelling like little men.

So today’s trip breakdown is:
  • Before Coupons: $33.60
  • After Coupons: $5.43
  • Total Savings: $28.17

  1. What coupons did you use? I would love to try this!

    • Dear Dawn,

I listed all of the coupons that I used in the post above. 🙂 I also provided links to the original savings posts where I talked about each of these deals, and they list the coupons that I used as well. All of these coupons were found in previous newspaper coupon inserts.

      Take care,

      • I have the redplum from the 3/13 newspaper, and this coupon was not in mine. I have noticed this a couple of other times as well. Do they have different inserts with different coupons each week, or am I just missing something?

        p.s. I love your website!!!

        Thank you!

        • Dear Courtney,

Yes, what types of coupons you get depend on the area that you live in. Major cities and metropolitan areas get better/more/higher value coupons than other’s located in rural or not as populated areas. If you fall in the later category then you’ll want to subscribe to a larger circulated newspaper closer to you.

          Take care,
