VLOG: WHERE ARE MY REAL FRIENDS AT & A CROCKPOT FAIL

Today I talk about some insight that I received last night from people that I deemed to by my friends. It turned out that they were anything but. I also talk about a twelve year friendship that is no more. I also thank all of you who have been emailing and messaging me and leaving comments on my videos. Your encouragement means SO much to me.

    I’m in a similar situation with someone I’ve been friends with since we were juniors in high school..so about 20 years. The thing that always comes to my mind is that everything has a season..even friendships. It’s hard to accept that when you’ve been friends with someone for a really long time that they wouldn’t be a “lifelong” friend or that they would betray your friendship. Especially in my case. It’s been 20 years and I still find myself thinking about whether or not it’s right to end a friendship that I’ve had for that long, but people grow apart and in some cases, reveal themselves for who they really are…because truth really isn’t bound by time. It’s up to you to make the decision on whether or not the relationship can be salvaged, and if not, let it go completely. It sounds like you’ve made your decision, but sometimes I still wrestle with mine..which means I’m not even taking my own advice!

    Don’t give any of your energy to being angry to people who do you wrong because you give them way too much power over your life. They’re somewhere living their life, while you’re whole mood is altered because of something they’ve done to you. Consider it a blessing that this person will no longer be a part of your life and taken into your confidence from this point forward.

    “Friends” are a trip! I definitely feel you. It’s crazy how sometimes it can take so long to see people’s true colors and find out who people really are so far down the road. It may take awhile, but they always come out…too bad we couldn’t know sooner. Then we could make better decisions about who to allow in our lives!

      Dear KO,

      I agree with you SO much on this one. As Tammy of Basketball Wives said “I need to know this information so I can make an informed decision on whether or not I want you in my circle.” Loves it! lol Yes, it’s sad but true. And my feelings were hurt for a good little bit but it’s her lost and not my own. An apology through a text will not suffice with me. I don’t think at this point that I want her in my life because I feel that once you betray someone you’ll be able to do it again.

    I got sidetracked talking about friends…and I forgot to say, I was really hoping that French Onion Soup recipe was going to turn out good. If you end up finding a good one, please do share! :)

      Dear KO,

      Someone recommended another recipe to me that I will be trying in the next couple of days. This one sounds a lot better than the one that I used last week. I will definitely let you know.
