Today we are reading chapters 11 – 15.

I have decided that I would take 20-30 minutes out of each of my morning to dedicate to reading through the book of Psalms. I think that there is something so relaxing when putting pen to paper and writing my thoughts through this study out. So that is what I am doing. I will be starting everyday with a prayer; thanking God for the blessings that he has given me and putting my prayer request in as well. I will then proceed with my reading followed by 3-5 minutes where I mediate on His word; opening my mind and heart to the message that God wants me to receive. I then end with prayer.

SCRIPTURE: Psalms 11:4

The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; He examines everyone.

My everyday life, all of my actions, and words, need to mimic the change that i am trying to make in my life. No matter how big or small they are, no matter how insignificant, God is watching EVERYTHING.

As a parent I am constantly telling my children what is right and what is wrong. I remind them to treat their siblings like they want to be treated. I remind them to be on their best behavior always because just when they thing that I’m not looking, that’s when I’ll be looking the hardest.

As a Christian I need to take my own parenting advice when it comes to my walk in faith.

So often, on a daily basis, I slip up. I let little actions and words slip out of my mouth that are the complete opposite of the change that I am trying to make in my life. I notice that the devil slips up on me at my worst part in the day; right when the boys get home from school and in the evening during our bedtime routine. It is during these times that everything is chaotic and my stress levels are high.

But even though I may be in the middle of a complete breakdown, it is during these exact times that God is watching the hardest. He’s watching to see how I react. He wants to see what I say and what I do.

I need to be more aware of my actions and my tongue 24-7 and not just when my mind is at ease because good is always watching.

Dear Lord,

Please help me to control my tongue and my anger. Please help me to lead my children by Your example. Please help me to be more patient with my family.

God everyday is a struggle to remember that I have to “walk the walk” 24-7 and not just when it suits me. That when I think You’re not looking at me that that is when You’re watching me the hardest.

Lord, I am still a work in progress but I am loving the journey that You have put me on. You have taken me out of my comfort zone and put me on a path that I have yet to travel before. I am not afraid though because I know that You are on this journey with me; pushing me when I need a push and leading me in the right direction when I get lost.

Father God I am glad that Your eyes are always watching over me because I know that I am never truly alone.

Thank you so much for the blessings that You have given me today already.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
