Hey. I just wanted to apologize for the dust that has settled on Penny Pinching Diva lately. I have a new job right now that has me working 7 days a week at 12 hours a day. In the heat. With no shade. And no air conditioning.

I’m beat.
I’m tired.

And at my best I can barely make it home to spend at least an hour with my babies until it’s time for them, and me to go to bed.

Until then I will post on here as often as I can. Which won’t be often at first until I get a new schedule together and I am able to function through exhaustion.

I hope everyone is still pinching those pennies. Leave me a comment and let me know what you have been up to.

  1. Congrats on the new job! It’s not easy starting a new job, but you will do great!

  2. Congratulations on your new job! Although spending all that time in the heat doesn’t sound like a good look, it’s still a job and a blessing when you need it.

I haven’t been to the drugstore in almost two weeks, so I’ve been taking a bit of a respite from tracking deals. My son went to prom last weekend and graduates next Thursday, so all of our energy has been going into champagne parties and making sure he’s on top of everything.

  3. God will provide you the strength you need!!!!

  4. Hi Shynea! Congrats on your new job. Working 12 hour shifts is a very long time to be away from your babies. As a mom, I do understand that you have to do what you need to do in order to provide for your children. Have you even considered online employment? It would allow you the flexibility that you need to spend time with your family and balance out your everyday life. I would recommend checking online employment opportunities for Dell, 1800flowers, or Jet Blue Airways if you’re interested in employment from home.

    Be blessed 🙂

  5. Hi Shynea,

Congrats on the new job! I know how it is having to provide for a family @ one time I worked two jobs and never had time for anything until the weekend. Just pace yourself and eventually everything will ease up..!

    Take care

  6. Congrats on the new job!

  7. Congrats on the new job! Just found your blog today. 🙂

  8. Congrats on the blessing of a new job! I am new to this website so if you or any of your regular pennypinchers can answer this that would be great. I read that every Sat. you would be posting CVS Scenario’s on how to get the most ECB on $10. I relize with a new job this may fall to the side for a while but once it picks up WHERE on the page will i find this? Than you so much for taking your time to help the rest of us become better stewards of our time and money!

  9. Congrats on your next job, I totally understand how you have to do what you have to do to provide for your family.
