Everyone has a story to tell. I know that my story is not a story that I talk about all to often. Many people that are in my life today don't know anything about my past.
I am a survivor of domestic violence.

WHO’S IN THE AUGUST ISSUE OF ESSENCE?
That would be me! And I am beyond excited. This has been in the works for a few months now, and you have no idea how hard it has been for me to keep quiet. Seriously.

This week I have been trying to turn my handful of lemons into lemonade. Both of my computers flat lined and died on me.
My desktop crashed. I got the modem to work but my flat screen is on the fritz. Because my family is on a budget I have been trying to Free Cycle a monitor. The only thing being offered are broke monitors that need repairing.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY 2009
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day. (Especially all of my daddy readers.) We had a very good day today, as I threw my fiance a Father's Day BBQ. It was a fun day surrounded by family and friend's and I wouldn't have had it any other way. (My two oldest sons were missing-in-action because they are enjoying their summer in Alabama with my parents.)

I AM LOVING THE BEACH
Since the summer is here, my family is spending more and more time outside. I believe it is important for children to get outside everyday and get some type exercise. One of our favorite things to do on the weekend is go to the beach or the park. I was given the opportunity to review a beautiful sling this week and I have to say that this sling has been my saving grace. I don't know why I haven't been a baby wearing mother before now.
