DOWNLOADABLE MENU PLAN FORM

DOWNLOADABLE MENU PLAN FORM
February 12, 2010 by Shynea
I recently wrote an article on how you could save money on your grocery bill by making a menu plan each week. I know that it helps me to stay organized throughout the week if I have my menu plan displayed in an obvious spot. I usually just write my menu down on a plain sheet of paper and attach it to my refrigerator with a magnet. I decided to make a menu planning sheet today that is cute (because I love stationary) and functional. If you're looking for a way to organize your weekly menu plan, please feel free to download my menu plan template...

COOKING SPAGHETTI SQUASH 101

COOKING SPAGHETTI SQUASH 101
January 25, 2010 by Shynea
One of my goals for this year is to cook more healthier foods for myself as well as my family. With my two year old currently in the process of being evaluated for Juvenile Diabetes I have had no choice but to alternate the foods that I cook for my family. While doing research I learned that pasta and rice would be a no-no in his new diet if he were to be diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, so I started doing some research on what I could prepare in order to accommodate him (because my family loves pasta and rice). That is when I was introduced...

This recipes comfortably feeds eight people so you can make this when you are going to have company over or you just want something for your family to indulge in. SPICY FRIED SHRIMP PO’BOY RECIPE

SPICY FRIED SHRIMP PO’BOY RECIPE
November 15, 2009 by Shynea
If you've been coming to my website for any amount of time, you know that I love making meals for my family that are quick, healthy and take less than 30 minutes to cook from start to finish. I love cooking and making things for my family from scratch, but when it comes to cooking dinner I don't have a lot of time to spend in my kitchen in the evening. I have too many things going on at home around dinner time that allotting an hour or so in the evening in my kitchen is just not feasible. I was presented with the opportunity to try Seapaks p...

RECIPE: FIESTA CHICKEN

RECIPE: FIESTA CHICKEN
July 13, 2009 by Shynea
I am all about cooking healthy meals for my family. I want them to eat a balanced meal, but I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen cooking it. I absolutely despise staying in the kitchen longer then I have to. With four boys I don’t have the luxury of planting myself in the kitchen for too long without some kind of disaster happening in my house. I am always looking for ways to prepare healthy, but quick, meals that I can start in the kitchen and basically let it cook by itself while I am supervising my family. If your family l...

RECIPE: FRIED SWEET POTATOES

RECIPE: FRIED SWEET POTATOES
June 29, 2009 by Shynea
My family loves  to eat sweet potatoes. There are so many different ways that you can prepare them. I have used them in main dishes, side dishes, and even dessert dishes. Because sweet potatoes already have a hint of sweetness in them, I decided to try something different. I love the combination of sweet and salty. Kettle corn is a favorite snack of mine, so I decided to try to combine the sweetness of the sweet potatoes with a little bit of salty. What did I come up with? Fried sweet potatoes. This is a family favorite of mine, and I can gu...

MOTHER’S DAY DOWNLOADABLE MENU PLAN
May 9, 2009 by Shynea
I know that Mother's Day is very important to a lot of people. In the Penny Pinching Diva household, we love all holidays. With each holiday, I like to prepare a special meal. Mother's Day is no exception. I love to cook and I have come up with a really simple and easy meal for Mother's Day. As you all know, I absolutely hate being in the kitchen for longer then an hour to cook a meal for my family. If I can get out of the kitchen in thirty minutes or less, I am even happier. I was in my kitchen this week thinking of a meal I could cook for ...

SWEDISH MEATBALLS & RICE

SWEDISH MEATBALLS & RICE
September 15, 2008 by Shynea
This week I am wanting my meals to be made quick, fast and in a hurry. I have started school back. Even though I scaled down on the classes that I am taking this semester, (only 3 instead of 4), I am still feeling the pressure of trying to keep up. Plus, I have both of my oldest boys in school and one at home who refuses to let mommy get anything done without a plethora of whining and running over the back of my feet in his walker. Gotta love his persistence. So here goes my menu for the week along with a picture recipe for Swedish Meatballs &a...
